Kinnikinnick Foods, a Canadian gluten-free company, makes S'moreables which are graham crackers safe for John. I just found these for the first time at Strawberry Fields!!! (That's our local Whole Foods type store.) So, tonight John had his very first S'more! We used these new crackers, the Enjoy Life rice milk chocolate, and marshmallows. He loved it!!
I made them in the oven, so it wasn't a completely authentic campfire version, but next summer we will be able to make them outside over a fire on our Cub Scout campouts.
The crackers do have "soy lecithin" as the last ingredient, but it was one of those things where I thought the benefit outweighed the risk of John possibly having a bit of itching on his fingers.

Yeah for a new experience for John!!!! We have a party this weekend where they are supposed to make Smores. I was telling Logan this morning and he was super excited. John will be a stronger person for having to forgo certain things from so early on. What a trooper!
