After spending 2 great hours with Madame Sylvie at a very loud Starbucks on Monday morning, we spent the day at Six Flags. The kids had a super time, they went on lots of rides and got very wet, so that is the most important part. However, I am not sure I would take the family back there. It was really dirty and the employees were unfriendly, and not all that nice to the kids. There were many things in need of repair and looking very old. Most of the crowd was teenagers and college age people, and it wasn't exactly the most family friendly environment. On top of that, it was very expensive. For a fast food lunch of burgers, fries and sodas we spent FIFTY SEVEN DOLLARS!!! No I am not kidding. Both Trish and Kimberly suggested Holiday World in Indiana to me today, and I think next summer we will go there instead.
We did get some really great photos though! Here are a few for you to enjoy. Here's John looking tough with Robin, Green Lantern and the Flash.
Here's John, Lucy and I going up the Log Flume, which we rode five times!!
John and Lucy really loved the kids' area at Six Flags, because kids were able to go on the rides without their parents. They both felt so big doing that. Here they are on the kids' airplane ride.
And finally for your viewing pleasure, here's a movie of John and I getting absolutely soaking wet standing on the bridge at the Tidal Wave ride! I was so glad to have that moment with him, we just laughed and laughed afterwards...and rode the whole way home with wet underwear!
