We were invited to a special lunch at the Hilton Garden Inn on Wednesday to celebrate. Gene, Kevin's boss, bought tickets to the lunch for everyone at Cobalt Digital to be there for Kevin to get the award! I thought that was really cool, to get that kind of support and encouragement from the people you work with. In the actual Central Illinois Business magazine, Cobalt Digital took out an ad with a big photo of Kevin congratulating him, you can't see that on the web site. Apparently there are prizes for the 40 winners at the lunch! Woo hoo, prizes!
I am so proud of Kevin. He deserves this recognition so much. He has worked so, so hard and he has a vision for Cobalt. They are a good company with a good group of people and every year they are having more success. When Kevin wanted to leave his old job at ISS to take the job at Cobalt Digital with Gene, I was anxious about it. It is turning out to be one of the best decisions we have made in our life together. Kevin has had opportunities with Gene and Cobalt that wouldn't be possible anywhere else, because of Gene's professional contacts and outgoing personality Kevin has gotten to know many important people in his field already and has gained their respect at a young age. I really believe that working at Cobalt was meant to be in the grand plan for Kevin's life and for our family. Kevin is a great engineer and a great manager too!
